Chief Executive Officer

Captain Pavlos G. Xagoraris

Holder of a Master Class A certificate, Captain Pavlos G. Xagoraris is a Master Mariner with seventeen (17) years of experience onboard the company’s tanker vessels.

He joined Avin International in 1985 and moved to the head office in 2003 as Tanker Operator. Since 2006, he has served in management positions, contributing to the company’s long-term operational development and strategic direction.

Chief Financial Officer

George M. Skordias

George M. Skordias holds an MSc (Econ) in Marine Policy from the London School of Economics, UK, and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece.

He has held various positions in Finance, Shipping and Oil & Gas, and first joined Avin International in 1998.

Technical Manager

Michael S. Androulakakis

Michael S. Androulakakis is a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens, holding a Dipl. Ing / MSc in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture, with further postgraduate studies in Ship Design and Optimisation.

He joined Avin International in 1985 and served for two (2) years at sea onboard general cargo ships. Since 1987, he has worked at the head office in a number of technical roles, including Technical Superintendent, New Buildings Manager and Technical Manager. Since 2000, he has served as Fleet Management Division Manager.

Operations Manager

Captain Sotiris A. Anagnostopoulos

Holder of a Master Class A certificate, Captain Sotiris A. Anagnostopoulos also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has ten (10) years of sea service onboard tanker vessels as Deck Officer.

He joined Avin International in 1999 as a Tanker Operator and, since 2011, has served as Manager of the Fleet Operations Division.

Marine Manager

Captain Georgios Saviolis

Captain Georgios Saviolis is the holder of a Master Class A certificate and brings extensive maritime knowledge and professional experience to the marine management function of the company.

Vetting Manager / Training Officer

Captain Stylianos V. Dafermos

Holder of a Master Class A certificate, Captain Stylianos V. Dafermos is a Master Mariner with eighteen (18) years of experience onboard the company’s tanker vessels.

He joined Avin International in 1984 and moved to the head office in 2003 as Marine Superintendent. Since 2007, he has served in management positions, overseeing critical areas related to DPA, HSQE, vetting and training.

Legal & Insurance Manager

John M. Trampaklos

John M. Trampaklos is a Solicitor with an LLM (1996) and LLB (1994) from University College London, as well as a BSFS (1990) from Georgetown University, USA.

He joined Avin International in June 2007 and has held similar positions in shipping companies, bringing strong legal and insurance expertise to the organisation.

Chartering Manager

George M. Konstantakos

George M. Konstantakos studied at the University of Keele, where he obtained a BSc in Economics (1994) and a BSc in Software Engineering (1994). He also holds an MSc in International Transport (1995) from the University of Wales (Cardiff).

He worked as a shipbroker in London for four years and became a member of the Baltic Exchange before joining Avin International in 1999.
